We’d like to reassure you that this is the most hectic time of the year(specially for 3rd year troops!), so look at the bright side guys, this is as hard as it gets, it can’t possibly get any tougher 
You’ve made it this far and salvation is few days (well, months are a bunch of days..eh?:P) away.. so hang on there guys and start planning your summer with the SSS!
By becoming a member (filling an online application form then coming to 10-15 mins interview) in the SSS, you’ll get the opportunity to turn the scenario of your summer vacation 180 degrees!
Instead of hanging out with “the guys” in the same places of every year, repeating the same jokes and the exact same gossiping of the summer before, or worse, spending your summer on facebook:
You can make a good use of the summer vacation by:
- Starting your own community service project.
- Taking a course, session, training in one of the widely variant trainings the SSS offers to its members totally free of charge.
- Getting to know a bunch of international exchange medical students who come to Kasr Alainyfor their summer clerk ships. You could be their scientific coordinator and you’d get to attend the clinical trainings with them, get to know residents and professors in nearly ALL medical specialities!
- You’d also discover the real Egypt with the social program that YOU will be in charge of creating for the exchange students.
You’re about to kiss the years of being labeled as a “junior” med student goodbye and step into the world of seniority!
The world of a totally different terminologies that just sound “bigger”, things like “rounds”, “elmostashfa”, “maxilla” and in 6th year :”specials”.
We’ve been there, we were worried about the finals too, but don’t make your world revolve around the finals.
God has granted you a brain that’s capable of functioning in many different direction, so why use it only to store and recall medical data?! Go out there and experience other aspects of life!
